Each November, Calgary pauses to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of Canada’s veterans and active military members. While Remembrance Day has passed, the reflections it inspires continue throughout the city - from quiet family conversations to lasting community tributes.
Remembrance Day 2025 once again reminded Calgarians of the strength found in gratitude and togetherness.
How Calgary Honoured Remembrance Day 2025
Across the city, thousands gathered in parks, museums, and memorial sites to pay their respects. At sunrise, flags were lowered to half-mast, and red poppies adorned coats and lapels.
