Rocky Ridge Housing Market
The Rocky Ridge real estate market was originally a part of the Rocky View municipal district before it was annexed in 1989 to the City of Calgary. This neighbourhood was then later established in 1998.
With an elevation of 1,275 metres, Rocky Ridge is Calgary's highest geographical feature. This neighbourhood in Calgary's northwestern quadrant is bordered by Crowchild Trail to the north and Rocky Ridge Road to the west. Connecting the community to the Trans-Canada Highway is Stoney Trail.
The first phase of real estate development in Rocky Ridge called Rocky Ridge Ranch started in 1995. Made up of condominium properties, detached single-family houses and townhomes, there will eventually be 2,500 residences in this community. The first phase features a western theme with custom homes built with river rock or stone façades, vinyl siding and featuring large front verandas.
